With this in mind, our inclusion and diversity work explores the areas of training and support which are lacking in giving the opportunities that are needed.

One area which Models Trust is highlighting is the need for hairstylists and makeup artists to be trained to work with textured and afro hair. 

There are incredibly talented men and women in this area and there are organizations dedicated to training the existing roster of stylists and makeup artists that exist. Models Trust wishes to amplify their efforts in this section.

This multi-level educational program implements higher standards of training for professional hairstylists and makeup artists in backstage etiquette, team dynamics and artistry. Show Division Pro provides instruction on the latest techniques, trends and innovations used by key players in top international shows.

Our highly acclaimed  “Inclusive Backstage” Masterclasses build core competency and personal proficiency in Afro-textured hair and deeper skin-toned makeup. These programs have been embraced by major fashion organizations across the globe including Italy’s governing body of Fashion the Camera Moda Italiana who have successfully run our Masterclasses for artists working backstage during Milan Fashion Week. www.showdivision.com

We believe beauty professionals should be able to work with all textures and complexions and are working to foster an industry that fully embraces inclusivity. We believe access to opportunities, education and increasing advocacy will be the catalyst for change.

We support the needs of men, women and non-binary talent to create a more inclusive industry for all.

In addition to its Talent Directory and Internship Agency it creates designer showcases, (in strategic fashion cities worldwide), organises educational initiatives, workshops and panel talks, creates retail Pop Ups, and provides consultation from DEI and supplier diversity surveys to Inclusion Executives on shoots and productions. Having amassed a network of global industry professionals, who are dedicated to charting a more equitable and diverse future, the FMA works with organising bodies and associations across the board to forge initiatives and pipeline opportunities globally and has Chapters based in the USA, UK, Italy, Germany, France, The Netherlands, Dubai, and Pan-Africa.

Founded in 2013, the Kevin Fortune Hair Styling Academy in London's West End has become a new vessel for Kevin to explore his artistic instincts further by sharing his wealth of experience with other artists in the industry and newcomers ready to kick-start a career in session-hair styling.
